May 9's Despicable Deadpool #300 will be the end of an era, as it will be the finale for writer Gerry Duggan and artist Mike Hawthorne, as well as long-time editor Jordan D. White.

"Now that solicits for Deadpool #300 are out, I guess it's time to announce that it will be my last issue editing the series," tweeted White, who has edited the Deadpool titles since 2011. "I've been editing the Deadpool line for over half my career, & I'm going to miss Wade immensely. I'm incredibly proud of the work I've done on him."

Duggan announced that the issue will be his finale earlier on Twitter, ending his run which began in 2011 with then co-writer Brian Posehn.

"And my last Deadpool drops in #300. I've been so lucky in collaborators, and I'm even luckier to write exactly the end I wanted after burning Wade down in Secret Empire," tweeted Duggan in February. "Our goodbye is 20 pages each from Scott, Matteo & Mike. The heroes of the run. Thank you for the wild ride."

Hawthorne confirmed to Newsarama it's his end as well, after five years on the title.

Marvel has not announced the future of Despicable Deadpool past May's #300.
