If two superheroes fought, who'd win? That's a common thought puzzle among fans, and now writer Roxane Gay has gotten into it - pitting Wonder Woman against Black Panther's Okoye.
"Wonder Woman and Okoye wouldn’t fight. They would share intel and collaborate and mutually respect each other," Gay tweeted. "And let me be clear. They wouldn’t fight not because women don’t fight or some such nonsense but because they are smart and wouldn’t choose violence unless it was necessary."
As for who'd win if violence were necessary, Gay didn't say - but did give a clue to what she thinks would provoke Wonder Woman to violence - calling her "Wondy."
Nah. But she would kick your ass for calling her Wondy. https://t.co/quSwY9kX0I— roxane gay (@rgay) March 1, 2018
Gay made her comics debut in 2017 writing a story in the Black Panther: World of Wakanda anthology, and plans more comic book work including a creator-owned series. She expressed interest in writing the Batgirl movie following Joss Whedon's departure, which led to a DC executive openly courting her for a project.
