Space Goat Productions is expanding their staff in light of growth at the company and plans for expansion outside of the comic book/graphic novel market.
Long-time comics creator Keith Champagne has joined the company as Editor-In-Chief. Champagne is best known for his work on Green Lantern, JSA, and Superman, and is currently working on a new creator-owned title called The Switch: Electricia. Champagne was previously co-owner of 5th Dimension Comics and COO of Sabrage Entertainment.
"I'm excited to begin working with Shon and the rest of the talented crew at Space Goat to help ramp up their publishing plans and also to broaden and strengthen SGP's relationships across the freelance comics community,” said Champagne. “With their upcoming slate of board games, comic books, and merchandise based on licenses like Evil Dead 2, The Howling and, The Terminator, it's a tremendous time to join the team; and the stuff that hasn't been announced yet is even more exciting! It's a genuine honor to be involved in bringing this stuff to life.”
Champagne joins Space Goat after the recent hirings of Steve May as Vice President of ales and Marketing, Michael Murphey as Lead Game Designer, and the promotion of Jacob Bascale to Production Manager.
