United States Representative John Lewis (D-GA) has announced Run, a multi-part follow-up series to his previous series of OGNs, the award-wining March. First reported by Time, the new graphic novel series will be co-written by Lewis' March co-writer Andrew Aydin, with art by Afua Richardson.

March recounted Lewis' experiences as an activist in the civil rights movement. Run: Book One will pick up right after March left off, chronicling Lewis' role in the civil rights group the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee and their work against the Ku Klux Klan's efforts to quash black voting rights.

“In sharing my story, it is my hope that a new generation will be inspired by Run to actively participate in the democratic process and help build a more perfect union here in America,” Lewis said.

Run: Book One will be published through Abrams ComicArts and is due out on shelves August 14.
