STEPHEN BYRNE to Draw Vertigo's MOTHERLANDS #2

Vertigo’s new miniseries Motherlands is changing artists, just one issue into its run.

Green Arrow artist Stephen Byrne has been enlisted to draw February 28’s Motherlands #2, taking over from series artist/co-creator Rachael Stott.

"Stephen's doing #2 but to be honest we asked him pretty early on if he'd be available to join us on the book," Stott told Newsarama. "Looking at my schedule at the beginning it was looking unlikely I'd be able to do the whole thing by myself without going crazy, so rather than me rushing it we asked Stephen if he'd be free to do one of them."

Stott will resume Motherlands with March's #3, with plans to finish out the six-issue miniseries.

"I've seen Stephen's pages though and they're beautiful," Stott continued. "I think we have quite complimentary styles."
