Kurt Busiek, Brent Anderson, and Alex Ross' long-running Astro City title will be ending with April 18's issue #52 - but that doesn't mean the series is over.

Astro City first launched in 1995 at Image Comics, jumping to WildStorm in 1996 and ultimate seguing over to Vertigo after WildStorm's closure in 2010.
The cover to Astro City #52 homages panels from the classic "Nearness of You" story-arc. It's also interesting to note the possible connection between the multiple Earths on the cover, and number "52," which has been a recurring theme in relation to DC's multiverse since its reintroduction in 2006's year long weekly series 52.
