Marvel Entertainment and NASA have teamed up to send one fan's big idea all the way to outer space with a contest in which fans can design experiments to be conducted on the International Space Station.
The proposed experiments must fit into one of two Guardians of the Galaxy-based themes, with student scientists able to submit experiments to be part of Team Groot (which focuses on plant biology research) or Team Rocket (which focuses on technological development and engineering).
Here's a video to explain more:
To submit an experiment for the contest, visit https://www.spacestationexplorers.org/marvel/ before January 31. The contest is open to students age 13 to 18. Two winners will have their experiments conducted by the crew of ISS.
