More details about April 18's Action Comics #1000, including page count, price, and the eight variant covers, have been revealed.

For this milestone issue, DC will have nine open-to-order variant covers focusing on each decade of Superman's existence. Here are the artists and their decades: Steve Rude (1930s), Michael Cho (1940s), Dave Gibbons (1950s), Michael Allred (1960s), Jim Steranko (1970s), Joshua Middleton (1980s) Dan Jurgens (1990s), and Lee Bermejo (2000s).

There are no planned 2000s or 2010s variants, but DC does plan to publish a blank variant cover as well.

Action Comics #1000 is scheduled to run 80-pages and be published in DC's squarebound Prestige format, devoid of all advertisements. The milestone book will cost $7.99.
