Scooby-Doo! Where Are You?'s Daphne Heather North Passes Away

Voice actor Heather North, best known as the second voice of Daphne Blake on Hanna-Barbera's Scooby-Doo! Where Are You?, has passed away at the age of 71 after a long bout with an unspecified illness, according to Deadline.

North took the role of Daphne in 1970 with the second season of Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? - the original iteration of the classic cartoon - portraying the character until 1985. She resumed her role as Daphne in various animated projects between 1997 and 2003.

North was also an onscreen actress, with guest roles in TV shows such as The Monkees, Green Acres, Days of Our Lives, The Fugitive, My Three Sons, and Gidget, as well as a role opposite Kurt Russell in Disney's The Barefoot Executive.

North is survived by two children, a step-son, six step-grandchildren, and nine step-great grandchildren.
