Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds and Captain America actor Chris Evans are each ready for their respective movie universes to come together under Disney's possible buyout of 20th Century Fox. In fact, they each have some ideas for crossovers - some of which might go over better at Disney than others.
First off, Reynolds tweeted that he's ready to get to know some of Disney's most iconic characters - intimately.
Time to uncork that explosive sexual tension between Deadpool and Mickey Mouse. https://t.co/iUEXofWpRu— Ryan Reynolds (@VancityReynolds) December 6, 2017
And of course, in a significantly more wholesome suggestion, Evans has his own idea, and honestly, it sounds pretty good.
So who do I talk to about a Cap/Human Torch buddy comedy spin-off? I’m thinking Planes, Trains and Automobiles meets Parent Trap. https://t.co/3KRPZOVzq2— Chris Evans (@ChrisEvans) December 6, 2017
For those paying attention, Evans has played both parts over the years.
The potential buyout of 20th Century Fox by Disney has been in on again/off again talks for several weeks. This week, it was reported that talks are still in progress, with news potentially arriving in a matter of weeks.
Evans will reprise his role as Captain America in Avengers: Infinity War on May 4, 2018, while Reynolds will once again play Deadpool in Deadpool 2 on June 1, 2018, and will reportedly co-produce and co-star in Drew Goddard’s X-Force film.
