March’s Incredible Hulk #174 will begin a story entitled “World War Hulk II” from writer Greg Pak and artist Carlo Barberi.
“World War Hulk II” will bring Amadeus Hulk, whose now fully savage Hulk persona was unleashed on Sakaar, back to Earth – and onto a collision course to what Marvel calls his “final fate.” Marvel says the story will “bring Amadeus Cho to his ultimate destiny.”
“What follows Planet Hulk II?” said Executive Editor and SVP Tom Brevoort in a statement. “'World War Hulk II,' of course! To survive on the savage world of Sakaar, Amadeus Cho was forced to unleash his darkest impulses! Returning to Earth, now the Hulk is at the wheel - and it’s a more unpredictable, more unconquerable Hulk than any we’ve seen before! The heroes of the Marvel Universe must intercede as the Formerly Awesome Hulk begins to carve his own path across the world.”
Amadeus Cho succeeded Bruce Banner as the Hulk. Banner was later killed in Civil War II, though Marvel has recently hinted at his return as part of its “Avengers: No Surrender” weekly story.
