Star Wars: The Last Jedi isn't out in theaters yet, but actress Daisy Ridley, who stars in the film in her second time on camera as Rey, is already planning her exit strategy after Star Wars: Episode IX.

"No, no, no. I am really, really excited to do the third thing and round it out, because ultimately, what I was signing on to was three films," Ridley told Rolling Stone when asked if she would perform in another Star Wars film after Rey's initial trilogy is complete. "So in my head, it's three films. I think it will feel like the right time to round it out."

Ridley does provide one caveat - she'll consider returning the role in a few decades the same way her predecessors Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford have done.

“Who knows? I honestly feel like the world may end in the next 30 years, so, if in 30 years, we are not living underground in a series of interconnected cells, then sure. Maybe,” she said. “But again, it’s like, who knows.”

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is due out in theaters December 15. Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.
