Captain America is being frozen in ice once more - pushing Marvel's "Legacy" initiative even further - in February 2018's Captain America #698. Writer Mark Waid, artist Chris Samnee, and colorist Matthew Wilson launch a new storyline titled "Oult of Time" based on an unspecified "shocking ending" in January 's #697 (according to Marvel), which puts Steve Rogers back in ice.

“Everybody thought it couldn’t happen again - but it has!” said Tom Brevoort, Marvel's Executive Editor, in a statement. “Once more, Cap is a man out of time - but the new era he finds himself in is fraught with perils, personal hardships, and challenges unlike anything the shield-slinger has ever experienced before. The lead-up to our big blow-out #700 issue starts here!”

Marvel goes on to frame this as "a brave new (and cold) world," with Rogers assembling "a new group of Howling Commandos to help him battle for this freedom."

With #698 scheduled for February 7, Captain America #700 is anticipated for an April 2018 release - leading directly into May's live-action Avengers: Infinity War movie.
