MoviePass has lowered its subscription price from $9.95 per month to $6.95 per month to see a free movie at participating theaters every, according to Variety. There's one small catch - purchasing a subscription at the $6.95 rate will require a 12-month commitment.
MoviePass reimburses its subscribers the price of a single movie ticket every day, when the tickets are purchased through participating theaters. Variety reports that some MoviePass partners, such as AMC, are not satisfied with the service, saying they fear it will lead to a permanent drop in full price ticket sales.
According to MoviePass, the $6.95 subscription price will be available for only a short time.
