The ongoing narrative of the popular Batman: The Telltale Series is spinning back to comic books with a new original series scheduled to debut in February, reports IGN. Batman: Sins of the Father by Christos Gage and Raffaele Ienco is set between the first two seasons of the game, as Bruce Wayne learns that his father was part of a criminal conpiracy.

“I love the bold choices the Telltale Games folks made in their approach to Batman, by having Bruce Wayne discover his father was part of a criminal conspiracy," said Gage. "I'm excited to contribute to this world and I can't wait for fans to see Raffaele bring the story to life. He is a great match to the visual style of the game, while adding his unique, hard-hitting take to it."

This will be Ienco's first major work for DC following extensive work for Image's Top Cow imprint and Marvel

“I’m thrilled to be making my DC debut drawing such a high-profile character like Batman, as well as working alongside the fantastic Christos Gage and our editor, Jim Chadwick," said Ienco. "I can’t wait to share what Gage and I have cooked up for the fans of this series.”

Batman: Sins of the Father is scheuled to debut digitally on February 12, with a print edition coming February 21 and running for six issues.
