This week's Spider-Man #234 from writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Oscar Bazaldua restores another key part of Miles' past in the Ultimate Universe for "Legacy," - and puts a familiar face behind a new mask.
Spoilers ahead for Spider-Man #234.
Throughout Spider-Man #234, a mysterious figure gathers resources and allies for an unknown criminal venture. Working with a criminal scientist named Ceres, the unseen villain purchases a subverted Iron Spider suit and assembles Hobgoblin, Electro, the Spot, Sandman, and Bombshell for a new Sinister Six - though he stops short of co-opting the name (although the solicits have dubbed them such).
In the story's final scenes, with his team assembled, the villain reveals his plan: the team will steal a S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. He also reveals his true identity - Aaron Davis, Miles Morales' uncle and the Ultimate Prowler.
It's unknown if this is the same Aaron Davis that appeared in the Ultimate Universe, or his Mainstream Marvel counterpart. This version of Davis has not yet established any connection to the Prowler identity or to Miles and his family.
Donald Glover portrayed Aaron Davis in Spider-Man: Homecoming, a cameo that included a reference to his unnamed nephew.
Spider-Man #235 is due out on shelves December 6.
