Ben Affleck's embattled future as Batman seems to have taken another blow as the actor says he now unsure if he'll be the Dark Knight in anything beyond this month's Justice League.
"I don't know about that. We'll see what the future holds," Affleck told Extra somewhat reticently after being asked if he'd make it to playing Batman five times on the big screen. Affleck also confirmed he was counting Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, and Justice League as his three appearances as the character so far.
Affleck's future as the character has been called into question previously. The Batman director Matt Reeves stopped short of confirming Affleck would be in his film, while rumors have persisted that Affleck will depart the role entirely sooner rather than later.
Both The Batman and the delayed Justice League sequel would be expected to have Batman appear.
Affleck's brother Casey told reporters earlier this year that he didn't think Affleck would be in The Batman, however Affleck's representative was quick to rebut that statement. Affleck reiterated his comments from when the rumor was first reported saying he'd be playing Batman "as long as Warner Bros. would have" him.
Justice League is due out in theaters November 17.
