Thor: Ragnarok is outpacing Spider-Man: Homecoming in advanced sales at a similar point in its sales cycle on Fandango's industry-dominant online ticketing service, according to Variety.
Homecoming debuted to $117 million at the North American box office when it opened last July on his way to a $334m domestic total.
Ragnarok is tracking to open in the $100m to $120m range. Thor: The Dark World opened to $85.7m in 2013 and finished with a $206m domestic total.
The three-quel has already launched in some foreign markets and is far outpacing its previous entries. Deadline projects the film to total over $400m worldwide by Sunday, just $49m short of the first film's lifetime worldwide total.
