Nate Simpson's Nonplayer title from Image Comics has been optioned as a feature film - this time by Legendary Entertainment, according to Deadline. Thor: Ragnarok co-writer Eric Pearson has been chosen to adapt Simpson's story.
Nonplayer debuted in 2011, with a second issue released in 2015 with delays attributed to an injury and Pearson taking on a full-time job outside of comic books. It was planned as a six-issue series.
Shortly after the release of Nonplayer #1, Warner Bros. acquired the film rights with producers Roy Lee and David Heyman attached.
