A new Justice League miniseries with heavy product placement has been launched in a joint effort by DC Entertainment, Warner Bros., and Mercedes-Benz. The six-part series is scheduled to debut on the car manufacturer's Instagram later today, all written by DC's Creative Director of Theatrical content Adam Schlagman and artist Jason Badower.
“We are glad to launch the first of six exclusive digital comic stories on our global Instagram channel today. This innovative approach reflects our urge to always offer exclusive and unique content to our worldwide social media fan base," said Dr. Jens Thiemer, Vice-President Marketing Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars. "Stay tuned, there are more great campaign assets to come before the release of Justice League on November 17, with many more insights of this remarkable global partnership."
The first installment, titled "Joyride," features the Flash and Cyborg and various "heroic Mercedes vehicles" according to DC. Future installments will have Batman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman.
Various Mercedes vehicles have appeared in the Justice League trailers, driven (and seemingly owned) by Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne/Batman and Gal Gadot's Diana/Wonder Woman.
