Updated October 27, 2017: Marvel Studios' Thor: Ragnarok has achieved the "Certified Fresh" rating from Rotten Tomatoes with an overal 96% approval rating from 94 critics.
That 96% critical approval rating is the highest ever for a Marvel Studios film on RT's aggregate scoring system, above Iron Man (94%), Avengers (92%) and Spider-Man: Homecoming (92%).
This comes as Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and elsewhere, with its North American debut scheduled for November 3.
Original Story: Critics have started reviewing Thor: Ragnarok, and the reaction has been overhelmingly positive. Thor: Ragnarok currently sits at a 98% "Fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatoes with 45 "Fresh" reviews from certified critics and only one "Rotten" review.
Critics praised the film's commitment to humor, and the chemistry of its stars, with USAToday's Brian Truitt saying "Even tonal issues can't upend the magic this movie taps into putting Thor and Hulk together as new best buddies, whether they're throwing down in an arena or having a bromantic heart-to-heart," while the AP's Lindsey Bahr said "Thor: Ragnarok is the most fun of the Thor movies by a long shot, but it is still very much a Thor movie for better or worse."
If that positive review trend continues, it would be enough to give the film a "Certified Fresh" rating, which requires 75% (or better) from at least 80 critics.
Thor: Ragnarok opens in North American theaters on November 3. Look for Newsarama's review next week.
