SUPERGIRL Season 3 Premiere Drops 39% From Season 2

The fall DC-CW slate began Monday with the third season of Supergrl, but ratings were down significantly from the show's previous season premiere according to By The Numbers.

The episode, titled "Girl of Steel," was reportedly watched by 1.87 million - down 39% from from the season 2 premiere numbers of 3.06m. Digging deeper, Monday's episode had a .5 rating in the key 'Adults 18-49' demographic, down over 50% from last season's 1.1.

Airing at 8 p.m. Eastern time, Supergirl went head-to-head with CBS's Big Bang Theory (13.13m), The Voice (10.9m), Dancing With the Stars (9.25m), and DC's other 8pm Monday show Lucifer on Fox, which had 3.33m viewers.

Supergirl airs Mondays on the CW.
