The planned live-action/CGI animated Sonic the Hedgehog film has jumped to Paramount Pictures, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film was originally announced back in 2014 with Sony, but this jump is reportedly a result of Sony declared the money it put into the film so far a loss in what's called a 'turnaround' in the film industry.
Deadpool director Tim Miller remains attached to the project as a producer, as is long-time genre producer Neal H. Moritz. Jeff Fowler is scheduled to direct.
No release date for Sonic the Hedgehog has been announced.
