Warner Bros. is developing a Batman anime film for 2018 with Afro Samurai manga-ka Takashi Okazaki, according to a listing for a New York Comic Con panel. Scheduled for release in 2018, Batman Ninja is described as an "eye-popping addition to the Batman animated legacy" and an "imaginative take on Batman and many of his connected characters."
Okazaki is listed as character designer for Batman Ninja, with Jumpei Mizusaki directing and Kazuki Nakashima writing. Leo Chu and Eric Garcia are listed as "English-language screenwriters," assumedly translating and localizing the movie for English-language voice actors.
The Batman Ninja panel is scheduled to take place October 5 from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Eastern time.
