The first poster for ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been released to Entertainment Weekly, and it follows on May's cliffhanger finale with Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) looking out at space from what appeared to be some sort of spacecraft.

This new poster has a S.H.I.E.L.D. logo over what appears to be a spacecraft hull - at least, that's what EW says it is based on what info they have from ABC/Marvel.

A common theory is that this new season would put S.H.I.E.L.D. in space, and possibly go so far as introducing its sister space organization in comic books, S.W.O.R.D. The group (and its leader Abigail Brand) have been featured in the animated series Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

No return date for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is noted in the poster, but the network has previously said it will begin in fall 2017 following the conclusion of Inhumans.
