Marvel will revive another classic - but long dormant - title as part of "Marvel Legacy," with Tales of Suspense #100 putting Winter Soldier and Hawkeye on the trail of the presumed dead Black Widow.
Marvel Executive Editor Tom Brevoort told ABC News' streaming show Inside Marvel the series would put Bucky and Clint "on the trail of Natasha's ghost, and each dealing with their own grief and their own feelings both for her as a person and for her as an institution."
Written by Matthew Rosenberg with art from Travel Foreman, the revived Tales of Suspense will ask the question of whether Black Widow was actually killed by the Hydra aligned Steve Rogers in Secret Empire. Though it has been presented in continuity that she is presumed dead after taking a seemingly lethal strike in Secret Empire #8, this week's Secret Empire: Omega featured a scene in which it was implied she was still secretly alive.
"They've seen her body, she died on national TV - so who’s out killing the people she wanted killed?" editor Alanna Smith added. "Bucky doesn’t think that it’s her. Hawkeye definitely believes its her."
"It's a sort of weird, anti-buddy book," said Brevoort.
Tales of Suspense #100 is scheduled to be released in December.
