Patty Jenkins and Warner Bros. have come to terms for the Wonder Woman director to return to direct, co-write, and produce its sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The two sides had been in negotiations since the film's debut in June, with a previous Deadline report indicating that the extended negotiations were because of Jenkins asking for equal pay to what male directors would receive in her situation. THR's new report indicates that Jenkins will receive between $7-9 million for the fee, in addition to an unspecified but "considerable backend." Jenkins was reportedly paid $1m for the original Wonder Woman.
To date, Wonder Woman has earned $816.3m at the worldwide box office.
The Wonder Woman sequel is scheduled to be released December 13, 2019.
