Joseph Gordon-Levitt will voice an alien in Lucasfilm's Star Wars: The Last Jedi, according to director Rian Johnson. The writer/director revealed it during a press event for the film while in Japan.
"My very good friend, the actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who was in a movie I made called Looper, he does a cameo as a voice of an alien in the film," Johnson said (as recorded by Cinema Today). "It's a very brief little thing and its fun. If you watch the movie, you may be able to pick out Joe's voice."
Gordon-Levitt is one of several confirmed Easter egg cameos planned for the film, including Prince William, Prince Harry, Tom Hardy, and Gary Barlow.
When asked how the post-production work on The Last Jedi was proceeding, Johnson said the film is "almost almost almost done."
