Lucifer alum Liam Hall has been cast as Joe Wilson (a.k.a. Jericho in comic books) for the upcoming season of the CW's Arrow, according to Entertainment Weekly. In the previous season, Deathstroke (Manu Bennett) had been searching for the whereabouts of his son - even to the point of asking Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) for help. Hall's Wilson will reportedly debut in a two-part Deathstroke-centric episode later this season.
For Arrow, EW describes the younger Wilson as following "in his father’s footsteps by joining the secret Australian military agency, A.S.I.S. After years of brutal combat, Joe now finds himself in a remote Kasnian prison under the alias, Kane Wolfman, fighting for his life."
The alias has a loaded meaning - in comic books, 'Kane' is the maiden name of of Jericho's mother, Adeline Wilson. 'Wolfman' comes from Jericho's co-creator, Marv Wolfman (the other being George Perez).
Arrow is scheduled to begin its sixth season on October 12.
