DC's Legends of Tomorrow has had a rotating roster over the years, but one person they've been trying (and so far unsuccessfully) to get is Matt Ryan's John Contantine. IGN is reporting that during this week's 2017 Television Critics' Association summer press tour, showrunner Phil Klemmer relayed that they are "actively campaigning" to bring Ryan's Constantine into the show.
Klemmer doesn't specify if its a matter of convincing Ryan or convincing their bosses at the network, however. The CW has already signed on for him to reprise the role - with his voice - in an animated CW Seed series. Ryan last played Constantine in a guest-appearance in a 2015 Arrow episode.
Klemmer is currently prepping for a stage play titled Knives In Hens at the United Kingdom's Donmar Warehouse. His ITV series The Halcyon was cancelled earlier this year after one season.
