There's been talk of Hayley Atwell reprising her role as Peggy Carter in an upcoming film project, but now her in-story grand-niece Sharon Carter has revealed that she was almost brought in to ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. In an interview with Deadline at the Television Critics' Association press junket this week promoting her new Fox show The Resident, actor Emily VanCamp talked about her MCU role and possible reprisals.

“I think [a role in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.] was discussed, but I was working on Revenge at the time," said VanCamp.

Avengers: Infinity War recently completed shooting in Atlanta, and the actor was asked if she appeared in that or plans to be in any other MCU project in the future and while was open to it, said nothing has happened yet.

"No idea," said Van Camp. "With Marvel, they can give you a call the day before you shoot. You don’t know what’s going on with their movies because they’re very secretive."

When asked specifically about a role in Captain Marvel, VanCamp encouraged people to ask for it.

"You guys put it out there,” the actor replied.
