Frank Herbert's seminal science fiction novel Dune is being adapted as a three-part graphic novel series.

In 1985, Marvel published a three-part adaptation of the 1984 David Lynch cinematic adaptation by writer Ralph Macchio and artist Bill Sienkewicz.

Brian Herbert, the son of the late author, announced that he is writing the new "more faithful" adaptation with Kevin J. Anderson. An adaptation of the younger Herbert and Anderson's 1999 prequel Dune: House Atreides is also planned.

No details were released on the publisher, artist, or release date.
