Clancy Brown will be voicing Surtur in Marvel Studios' upcoming Thor: Ragnarok. Surtur, which debuted in the new trailer released Saturday, was motion-captured by director Taika Waititi but Brown was then brought in to voice the role.

"I did a little of the mo-cap stuff for Surtur, body wise, but then we have Clancy Brown doing the voice of Surtur," Waititi told ComicBook.

Brown might be best known for his roles in Highlander and The Shawshank Redemption, but for comic book fans he has a multitude of roles ranging from The Flash's General Wade Eiling and Daredevil's Colonel Schoonover to the big screen Green Lantern's Parallax. He's also voiced dozens of animated Big Two roles ranging from Lex Luthor to Red Hulk, Uatu the Watcher, Mister Sinister, Bane, Taskmasker, and more.

Thor: Ragnarok is scheduled to open in theaters November 3.
