The 1990s cartoon series Rugrats is returning for a new comic book title at BOOM! Studios' KaBOOM! imprint, according to ComicBook. Writer Box Brown and artist Lisa Dubois are working on an all-new ongoing title scheduled to launch in October.
“As longtime fans of Nickelodeon’s innovative, outstanding programming, we couldn’t be happier to kick off our partnership with the return of Rugrats,” said BOOM!'s President of Publishing & Marketing, Filip Sablik. “The entire team at Nickelodeon has been a fantastic partner, working with us to deliver the best all-new stories of your favorite animated shows in comic book form through our all-ages KaBOOM! imprint.”
This won't be Rugrats' first venture into comic books - there has previously been a newspaper comic book strip, a 30-issue comic book title, and a OGN.
