Veteran writer and artist Sam Glanzman passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017, according to Drew Ford.
Glanzman is best known for his work in the war genre, ranging from fictionalized stories such as Our Army At War and Our Fighting Forces, as well as the autobiographical A Sailor's Story. He is also known for the Charlton Comics series Hercules.
Glanzman was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the destroyer U.S.S. Stevens.
The family are encouraging donations to a GoFundMe campaign set up before Glanzman's passing - the funds go for the publication of a tribute book and funds for Glanzman's wife, Sue.
