After what is described as surprisingly large pre-orders, DC is dropping the price of Dark Nights: Metal #2 through #6 from $4.99 to $3.99.

"Orders for Dark Days: The Forge and The Casting have exceeded our expectations, and we're on a similar track for Metal #1," said DC's SVP of Sales & Trade Marketing John Cunningham. "That's allowing us to decrease the price of the remaining issues of Metal, which means customers can buy the whole series for five dollars less than before."

DC employed a similar tactic for its last major event, Justice League vs. Suicide Squad.

Dark Nights: Metal #1 is on schedule for an August 16 debut at $4.99, with future issues coming month with one skip month, November.
