Jeremy Renner says he "broke his arms" while filming a stunt for his upcoming film Tag - but that it won't affect his movie work, including the Avengers films. The actor spoke about the incident during a press conference promoting the film Wind River, sporting braces on both his arms. Variety, who first reported this story, specified that Renner fractured his right elbow and left wrist.

“That’s how it goes. It’s part of the job,” said Renner. “I’m sort of a problem solver, you know. There will be an affect to it, but it won’t stop me from doing things that I need to be doing. I’ll heal fast. I’m doing everything I can to heal faster.”

Both Tag and Avengers: Infinity War are filming in Atlanta with Renner going back-and-forth between sets. Infinity War is scheduled to wrap filming next week, with the untitled fourth Avengers film to shoot from late July to December.

“I’m doing a job that isn’t really requiring a ton of stunts: It’s not an action movie, it’s a comedy - it just happens to have a few stunts in it," said Renner. "So I don’t have to beat a whole lot of people up or do anything crazy. So it won’t really affect my job… It affects how I get dressed in the morning. I can’t tie my shoes, but outside of that and everything else I can kind of get by.”

Editor's Note: An earlier version of Variety's article stated that the injury occurred during the filming of Avengers: Infinity War, but the Hollywood trade has updated the story to dispute that.
