Tom Holland has been cast as a young Nathan Drake in Sony Pictures' planned Uncharted movie, according to Deadline. Although previously intended to feature an adult Drake (as seen in the Naughty Dog video game series), the movie is now being "redrafted" as a prequel with with the 20-year-old actor in the lead - based on a flashback in Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.
Shawn Levy is attached to direct Uncharted for Sony, a project that the studio has had in development since 2009.
This is the second four-quadrant franchise Holland has signed on for following his star-turn as Spider-Man in last year's Captain America: Civil War. Holland previously signed on to co-star with Daisy Ridley in Doug Liman's adaptation of the YA series Chaos Walking.
