A new Wonder Woman-themed Ford Fusion will be in in select NASCAR races during the month of May, ahead of the Wonder Woman's movie release June 2. Danica Patrick will drive the Wonder Woman-themed vehicle as part of the Stewart-Haas Racing team at the NASCAR Cup Series races on May 13 in Kansas and May 20 in Charlotte.
The Wonder Woman paint scheme is part of a larger marketing partnership between Nascar, Stewart-Haas Racing, Warne Bros., and Code 3 Associates - an animal welfare non-profit.
"Code 3 Associates has championed animal welfare for more than 25 years, and One Cure allows us to take what's learned from treating animals that are fighting cancer to people who are fighting the same battle," added Nan Stuart, founder, Code 3 Associates. "Danica and Stewart-Haas Racing have been strong advocates for animal welfare and this extension of our partnership with them helps more people understand and appreciate One Cure's mission."
This is the second recent NASCAR/DC Films crossover, as during the build-up to 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice there were both Batman- and Superman-themed NASCAR vehicles, driven by Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson, respectively.
