IDW Media Holdings, the parent company of IDW Publishing, has posted in its Q1 2017 quarterly report, with a total $14.8m in gross revenue for the period – up $4.1m over the same period in 2016. In particular, the IDW Entertainment and IDW Publishing divisions had particular success with a 20% revenue uptick at $3.3m and $7.5m respectively.
"Our Q1 performance reflects solid growth at IDW Publishing and the continued success of the TV programs we have launched in IDW Entertainment,” said company CEO Ted Adams.
In the quarterly report, the March books and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles board game were named as two of the biggest drivers in the success.
On the television/movie side, IDW Entertainment’s positive momentum is based on the first seasons of Wynonna Earp and Dirk Gently. The company notes second seasons of both are planned for later this year.
