Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada has tweeted some art he created for Marvel and Netflix's upcoming Defenders series. Defenders and the four series that led to it - Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist - have drawn heavily on the Marvel Knights era, a Marvel publishing imprint that Quesada co-founded.
But that's not all - two heroes who have previously operated under the name "Defenders" in comic books are looking to come together on the big screen.
Simone Missick and Tessa Thompson, the actresses who play Luke Cage's Misty Knight and Thor: Ragnarok's Valkyrie, respectively, have thrown their support behind the idea of a Fearless Defenders style team-up between the pair in response to fan commentary.

I second THAT ???????? https://t.co/CuuYChnvaa— Simone Missick (@SimoneMissick) April 10, 2017
Missick and Thompson both said they'd love team up when asked on Twitter. As of right now, there is little to no crossover between Netflix's Defenders shows and Marvel films.
Defenders will debut on Netflix on August 18.
