Zack Snyder has shared a photo of Henry Cavill wearing the Superman costume originally worn by Christopher Reeve in his four Superman films. Cavill wore the suit for his 2011 screen rest for 2013's Man of Steel, but a photo of the unique moment had never been released until now.
"First test with Henry... I knew right away he was my Superman," Snyder said in the Vero post revealing the photo.
Snyder had previously said that none of the Man of Steel-era Superman suits were finished at the time of the screen test, but the Reeve suit from the 1980s films was available.
Cavill's Superman 'died' at the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but he has been confirmed as returning in 2017's Justice League - although he has only appeared in one image, the first released from the film back during 2016's Comic-Con International: San Diego.
Justice League is scheduled to open in theaters November 17.
