Walmart will the exclusive retailer of Mattel's line of Wonder Woman movie toys, action figures, and dolls from now through April 28, along with products from some other manufacturers, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Included in this deal between Mattel, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and the retail giant is a 2-pac set of Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor.
A second wave of Walmart-exclusive Wonder Woman merchandise is scheduled to come in May from Jakks Pacific, Funko, and Fisher-Price; no details are available on the length of their exclusivity to the retail chain.
Walmart isn't the only place for Wonder Woman merch however, as other unspecified retailers will receive products from the LEGO Group, Rubie’s Costumes, Funko, Bioworld, New Era, and Hallmark beginning in April.
"We’re thrilled to bring Wonder Woman front and center to retailers worldwide in support of her first solo feature film," said Warner Bros. Consumer Products president Pam Lifford. "WBCP has developed an incredible assortment of trend-right products in collaboration with our best-in-class licensees, allowing fans of all ages to express their fandom and bring Wonder Woman's empowerment, inspiration and beauty to life."
Wonder Woman is scheduled to be released in theaters June 2.
