DC Films has launched a new website to promote Justice League, which includes a new look at the entire team - with one major exception. Reflecting the release of the teasers leading up to Saturday's new trailer debut, Superman isn't seen in the latest group line-up of the League, which was posted on the new website www.unitetheleague.com.
Along with Superman's absence, there are several other things to note in this seemingly innocuous image. First off, it looks like Flash's costume has undergone some color tweaks since it debuted last year. Also notable is that Batman has his classic black on grey color scheme rather than the inverted look seen in this week's Batman solo poster.
Beyond that, the absence of Superman in this latest marketing push is notable - presumably to remind moviegoers he's currently dead in the DC Expanded Cinematic Universe and to build anticipation for his inevitable return. Superman was included in one of the first official images from the film released last year (below).
Justice League is due out in theaters November 17.
