Lost alum Ken Leung has been cast as Karnak for ABC's live-action Inhumans series, reports Variety. In comic books, Karnak is cousin to Black Bolt and acts as the chief strategist for the royal family.
“Ken brings both a wisdom and a power to the role that no one else could match," said Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel Television. "His Karnak will be awesome."
“Ken Leung has a great natural intelligence that reads clearly and will add depth and complexity to the very complicated character of Karnak," added showrunner Scott Buck.
In addition to Lost, Lueng also played Kid Omega in 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand and Admiral Statura in 2014's Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
With Inhumans, Leung reunites with another Lost alum, Anson Mount, who was previously cast as Black Bolt. Serinda Swan and Iwan Rheon have been cast as Medusa and Maximus the Mad, respectively.
Inhumans is scheduled to debut its two-part pilot September 4 in IMAX theaters, before seguing to ABC on September 24 for its eight-episode first season.
