Jennifer Connelly has joined the cast of James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez's Alita: Battle Angel as an unnamed villain, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Connelly previously played Betty Ross in 2003's Hulk. She reportedly joins a cast spearheaded by Rosa Salazar as the title character, along with other comic book movie and TV veterans such as Ed Skrein and Mahershala Ali. Rodriguez is directing, with Cameron on board as producer.
Alita: Battle Angel is based on the manga Battle Angel Alita, which tells the story of an amnesiac cyborg warrior. It is currently in production for a July 20, 2018 theatrical release.
