More details about the changes to Warner Bros.'s The Batman are coming to light, as Deadline reports that screenwriter Chris Terrio just competed a rewrite of Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns' original script for the film.
Terrio was brought into the DC Films' fold by Affleck in 2015 following their work together on Argo. Terrio re-wrote David S. Goyer and Zack Snyder's original script for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and on the basis of that was tasked with writing the two planned Justice League films.
On Monday, Affleck announced that he had stepped down from directing The Batman but would remain on-board as a co-writer, producer, and actor. According to Deadline, Affleck's directorial departure "that has been in the wind for weeks."
No release date has been given for The Batman by Warner Bros.
