Old Man Logan writer Jeff Lemire will be ending his 20+ issue run on the Marvel ongoing series with a four-part story forcing the one-time Wolverine to relive some of his classic moments.

As first reported by IGN, April's Old Man Logan #21 will kick off a four-part twice-monthly arc with Lemire and artist Eric Nguyen putting the aged James "Logan" Howlett through the time travel ringer.

“For me, a large part of writing Old Man Logan has been about taking old Wolverine tropes and stories and then seeing those again but through the lens of Old Man Logan instead, with the different perspective he brings,” said Lemire. “The other big part of the series has been the ‘man out of time’ aspect of Logan struggling with what may or may not be his apocalyptic future. So this story was really about taking both of those things and combining them into one last big story that brings everything I have done in the series full circle.”

Old Man Logan #21 through #24 will revisit Logan's early days in the the late 1800s as seen in Origin, as well as his first appearance in Incredible Hulk facing off against the Green Goliath and Wendigo, and his time with the X-Men.

“Everyone loves Wolverine vs. Hulk,” said Lemire. “For me, I needed to find ways in all of these stories to honor the original story but also do something new with it without altering Marvel history. That was a bit tricky, but I think I managed to pull it off.”

Marvel has confirmed that a new creative team is scheduled to take over Old Man Logan with June's #25.
