Over fifteen titles in DC's "Rebirth" line will be bumped up from $2.99 to $3.99 beginning this April, but have the added benefit of a digital access code for a free digital copy of the book. This complimentary digital access code will also be added to all of the pre-existing "Rebirth" titles priced at $3.99.
“Giving readers value was a key component of our Rebirth initiative, and we're continuing that commitment with this move,” stated John Cunningham, SVP, Sales & Trade Marketing. "We’ve heard from many fans that they like to read and collect our books in both digital and print formats so this new offering gives DC readers the convenience and value pricing they asked for.”
The titles that will have the digital access code or be raised from $2.99 to $3.99 price tag in April are: All-Star Batman, Batgirl, Batgirl & The Birds of Prey, Batman Beyond, Batwoman, Blue Beetle, Cyborg, The Hellblazer, New Super-Man, Red Hood & The Outlaws, Super Sons, Supergirl, Superwoman, Teen Titans, Titans, and Trinity.
The inclusion of All-Star Batman is noteworthy, as it was one of the few "Rebirth" launches priced above $2.99, carrying a $4.99 price tag for all issues so far. It's not clear that this title will be moved down to $3.99, however.
The decision to include digital access codes with print editions of some titles somewhat contradicts Marvel Comics' recent decision to end that practice in favor of themed issues of the month across the line.
All of the twice-monthly DC "Rebirth" titles will remain at $2.99, according to DC.
