Fantagraphics is hosting an exhibition of Wallace "Wally" Wood's work at its Seattle gallery coinciding with the release of a new book by the iconic cartoonist. The Life and Legend of Wallace Wood debuts Saturday, January 14 at the Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery, with an exhibition and a presentation by J. Michael Catron.

Wood was a founding cartoonist in MAD Magazine, as well as being one of the pillars of early Marvel Comics with his work on Daredevil. The Minnesota-born creator worked in virtually every corner of the American comic book industry, from EC Comics to Marvel, Mad, and even illustrating some of the earliest Mars Attackscards.
